Six New Colorado Artists to Follow

Jaiel

So yesterday we started a new series about underappreciated artists, today we’re passing the torch to the newer artists. Breaking through the local glass ceiling in one market can be hard enough for a new artist, but those who are dedicated, aim to break through a local threshold and eventually get to a regional layer in multiple markets. These six artist are pushing to be viable beyond the borders of the Box State, and in some cases already are. We hope if you like what you hear, please follow, engage and add these artists to your fandom.

Here are six artists we think you should get to know…

Jaiel – Fresh off a performance at Grammy weekend, where she was one of the featured artist on the Grammy U Indigo Sound Stage, Jaiel is primed for a huge 2026. Last year she released a deluxe version of her album Black Girl Songs and performed on the mainstage at UMS. She really shined through at her first headlining show at Dazzle. Jaiel really curated an intimate show, standing room only, full with covers, original acoustic versions and even a rendition of The Little Mermaid’s “Part of Your World”. Jaiel is an accomplished model, dancer and a college graduate who is ready to take her brand worldwide.

Jaiel is dedicated to creating unique content for her fans, as evident by her Christmas special. The special was a throwback to the classic holiday specials a la Donny & Marie Osmand. Jaiel is preparing for a new project in 2026 and her last official music video “Bet on Me” is a high-quality production worthy of attention.

Gabbana NovaGabbana Nova went viral on Tiktok just this week with over 280k views on his Colorado Anthem video. Voted the Best New Artist by the Denver Spotlight awards in 2025, his website describes him as “As a father of three and a husband, Gabbana still finds time to help build the hip hop music scene in Colorado. You can catch him supporting local events and venues or winning every local music competition he enters.” His song “Colorado” has over 30k listens already on Spotify and his numbers are up on every platform.

LokanaLokana is an artist also from Denver, Colorado. Her website states, “in 2019, Lokana partnered up with the award winning producer, NicoTheOwl. Lokana and Nico had an instant connection and the two came out with the hit song ‘Ride or Die’ that reached the top 10 Hit Charts in Japan.” She has a great tone and soothing delivery, her virtuosity is alluring to the ear. She’s worth a listen and will be performing at the Black Buzzard on March 13th 2026. More info can be found HERE on her Facebook.

Miguel Crandall – I first found Miguel as a young dancer performing at Top Flight Empire events. Over the last few years he turned a budding dancing career into a music career. He is currently on his own “Dance like Miggs” Tour, which culminates in Denver on July 23rd, 2026. Miguel seems to have a strong operation and team, as he just posted his video at a packed out venue in Toronto, while he continues to build his online viewership.

L$ Baby – Denver native L$ Baby recently dropped “Pretty Love”, a pink overlayed ode to her version of love. Her delivery is definitely status quo for the current trends, a blend of Nu Westcoast and NY Drill, should be appealing to the newer Hip-hop generation. “Pretty Love” features production by Violet, which is a sparkly, R&B infused tune.

Parkside Plugs – aka El Nino De Parke dropped the Westcoast based sounding single and video “Vida Recia,” two months ago and is already clocking over 500k views on YouTube. He currently resides in Denver but hails from California. According to a recent interview he got his name from the gauges he rocks in his ears. His style should certainly be appreciated by the Mexican and Latino communities in Denver. He currently is touring and has shows scheduled for San Diego, Tijuana, Mexico and more.
